This activity was designed with the aim of producing graduates who excel in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. The application of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Project-Based Learning (PjBL) methods was chosen to enhance active learning processes that support the achievement of these goals. Both PBL and PjBL require lecturers to take on the role of facilitators rather than merely delivering content. The refreshing session helped lecturers enhance the competencies needed to guide students in solving problems and managing projects independently.
Through this session, lecturers were able to update their knowledge and skills in accordance with the latest developments in PBL and PjBL methodologies. This ensures that the teaching approaches used remain relevant and effective. As curriculum and industry demands continue to evolve, the refreshing session allowed lecturers to adapt their teaching methods to these changes, thereby equipping students with skills that are essential in the modern workplace.
Well-executed PBL and PjBL methods can increase student engagement in the learning process. The session enabled lecturers to explore new strategies to make learning more engaging and interactive. Moreover, it served as a platform for lecturers to share experiences and teaching strategies, promoting collaboration and the exchange of ideas among peers, which in turn can enhance overall teaching practices.
By participating in this refreshing session, lecturers had the opportunity to reflect on their previous experiences and evaluate the effectiveness of their teaching methods, fostering continuous improvement. Ensuring that lecturers are skilled in innovative teaching methods supports FEB Trisakti’s commitment to delivering high-quality education and instruction.
